is a poet, textile artist, and parent living in Pittsburgh, PA. She is the author of two books of poetry, Broken Waters (Fernwood Press, 2024), and There is a Future (Paraclete Press Poetry, 2020), and co-author of How to Sew Clothes (Abrams Books, 2023). She also publishes short-run pamphlets via her small press, Imaginary Lake, and designs sewing patterns. Amy’s work focuses on themes of domesticity, caregiving, confession, and spirituality.
Amy’s writing and textile practice formed part of our shared Circling vocabulary long before we ever articulated it as a project, and so it was a real pleasure for Krystiana and I to speak with her just a few weeks after the publication of Broken Waters.
