Megan Sheetz believes that everyone is creative. She is a mixed media artist with a love for paper, sewing, and stories. She loves to teach others watercolor painting, paper collaging, and the fine art of breaking rules. Megan studied ceramics and book arts at Indiana University in Indianapolis, and she currently lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana with her husband and three cats.
Megan and I met through college, and it was a treat to reconnect for this interview and see how similarly our practices and ways of thinking about art have developed. I loved hearing the way she places herself within a heritage of making, both in her family and through historical practices.
