Welcome to Circling.
Circling is a newsletter, archive, and event series charting the rhythms of the artist's life. Currently, Circling is inquiring into the domestic lives of artists—using snapshots as a way to tell stories of tending a home in which art can survive.
Circling is a project by Lynnette Therese Sauer and Krystiana Kosobucki-Howell, inspired by thirteen years (and counting) of shared conversations around routines, relationships, spirituality, embodiment, and art.
Join the conversation 💫
We (Lynnette and Krystiana) met in college in 2011, tried to launch a book club that quickly dwindled to only us, and have had a standing weekly conversation date ever since. Circling expands this dialogue with thoughtful features and reflections on shared questions about life as an artist—and you’re invited to join us.
Subscription Options 💌
The first 20 paid subscribers will receive a handmade art postcard! All of these art postcards have now been claimed. Thank you!
Our new tiers are as follows, effective July 1, 2024:
Free Subscription
Read one artist interview per month in a newsletter sent directly to your inbox. We are thrilled to collaborate with the artists we feature and share their work with you, so these will always be free. We love talking to artists (we might just be running a scam to get fun people we admire to be our friends) and we have some really special ones coming soon.
Monthly / Annual Subscription ($5/month or $50/year)
Read one artist interview and 2-3 original pieces per month, plus receive access to the growing archive of past posts. In addition, you will receive a discount on tickets to our in-person events when we come to your city. This contribution helps us chip away at administrative costs like web hosting, event space rentals, and travel.
✨Sponsor✨ Subscription ($100/year)
Your contribution will sponsor one artist honorarium during the year. OR, if we reach the point where all honorariums are sponsored, your sponsorship will do the hitherto unimagined, and pay us for our labor!
